Alyssa Misuraca
Owner/CEO Certified Mental Performance Consultant® (CMPC) administered by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) and Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA) |
My passion for mental performance coaching began during my time as a collegiate volleyball player, where I served as a four-year starter and three-year captain. When my coach introduced our team to mental skills training, I was initially skeptical—but the results spoke for themselves. My performance improved, and I watched my teammates elevate their game as well. In 2020, I earned my Master’s degree in Performance Psychology from National University and founded Balanced Performance to help others unlock their full potential. With over five years of coaching experience already under my belt, I was eager to learn how to blend physical training with mental skills to develop well-rounded athletes. Over the past four years, I’ve worked with athletes and high performers in both individual and team settings, focusing on mental strategies such as goal setting, emotional management, reframing, and self-talk to help athletes achieve peak performance in sports and beyond. Personally, I’ve experienced the transformative power of these techniques, learning how to better manage stress, emotions, and communication in all areas of life. My goal is to help you experience that same balance and freedom by integrating mental training into your own performance journey. I encourage you to take the next step in your performance because you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. |

Emily Ortiz
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) |
My journey in sports nutrition began when I completed my Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Arizona State University (ASU). Here I also worked with ASU athletics, before going on to work with minor league baseball teams. Now I am excited to partner my business, The Working Dietitian, with Balanced Performance to be a piece of the puzzle to optimize your athletic performance! One of my favorite hobbies is exploring new restaurants with family and friends. I believe this is important to share with my clients because I aim to foster a no-judgment environment and teach a sustainable way of approaching food and nutrition. I want to help you find a balance between food and performance, as well as help you feel confident and in control of your health and energy on and off the court or field! Together we can fuel your body for optimal performance and recovery, as well as reduce your risk of injury. |
