We have all faced some kind of adversity in our lives. Some of us have faced more than others and some of us have tried avoiding it because we want our lives to be easier. Our wins over them give us confidence to tackle the next challenge, and our losses give us a learning opportunity on how to take on the next obstacle. We have all faced some kind of adversity in our lives. Some of us have faced more than others and some of us have tried avoiding it because we want our lives to be easier. Overcoming adversity isn’t easy, but it shapes us into who we are and makes us unique.
Face it don’t fear it Adversity and difficulties are often not planned or expected. Usually, that makes us want to try to go around it and avoid it, rather than push through it. Trying to find a way around it takes time and doesn’t allow us to learn how to stay gritty and push through hard times. By facing adversity, we test ourselves and learn how to overcome it, making the next challenge easier and ultimately reaching our goals. Be adjustable We like to feel in control of situations rather than feeling like the situation is controlling us. However, when facing adversity we need to be able to adjust our perspectives to see the obstacle as a challenge, and not a roadblock that’s impossible to pass. Being adjustable and finding a different perspective can allow us to see a picture we never could before. This makes it easier to push through a tough situation. Adversity is an obstacle When we look at adversity we often see it as a negative. But sometimes, it’s a blessing in disguise because it forces us to take a path that we didn’t think about originally. Obstacles aren’t fun, but they are what make us stronger and give us opportunities to learn how to grit through and find new ways to achieve our goals. Overcoming adversity is unique to everyone. We each have a different definition of adversity and what it looks like, but we also each have a story of overcoming adversity. They are the experiences that made us into who we are today, and gave us confidence that we can do hard things. While obstacles aren’t easy or fun, they are blessings that shape us and our lives. Our wins over them give us confidence to tackle the next challenge, and our losses give us a learning opportunity on how to take on the next obstacle.
